Sent six South Section coaches, families, volunteers and
corporate sponsors into the 2010 SOMA Hall
of Fame: Coach John Dempsey (N. Attleboro),

(Attleboro), Enterprise Rent-a-Car (W. Bridgewater),
Bourne Police Lieutenant Rich Tavares, and long-time
SOMA volunteer Dan Smith (Scituate)

Sending several South Section athletes and coaches to
National Games in Nebraska: athletes Joe
Vasconcelos, Steven Drysdale, the Mashpee Life
Survivors Basketball team, Scott Merrill, Matt
Kardok, Paula Chace and Billy Harris; plus coaches
Jen Walsh, Maureen McNamara, Nancy Walsh and
Lucy Dickman

Welcomed the University of South Carolina’s Mia Corsini as
our full-time Summer intern – thank you
Mia! (Mia’s happy to report that the USC baseball
team recently won the College World Series, making
it the #1 college team in the land)
