Private philanthropy is the foundation of every nonprofit organization, including Special Olympics Massachusetts (SOMA). SOMA is a grassroots organization that relies on the generosity of Massachusetts businesses, organizations, foundations and individuals to make the difference for athletes. All gifts may be restricted to a particular area in the sports program or left unrestricted to help the area of greatest need within the organization.
Individual Giving Donate Online SOMA recognizes the need to provide donors with easy methods of making contributions. We are pleased to offer you a site to make your donation online. Please visit the Special Olympics Online Donation Page and use your Visa, MasterCard, AMEX or Discover card to make a secure online donation. Planned Giving
Planned giving options can help you maximize the personal benefits of your charitable giving, such as providing for your family, friends and yourself while allowing you to make charitable contributions that you might have thought to be impossible.
With careful planning, it is possible to reduce or eliminate income taxes, including capital gains tax, and transfer taxes, gift, estate, inheritance and generation skipping taxes. You can enjoy these tax savings while turning appreciated assets into income for yourself and others. Planned giving is a tool that helps you achieve your goals for SOMA and enhance your financial plans and security.
Corporate Partnerships
Whether it is a year-round Partnership or an event specific sponsorship, companies have the opportunity to enhance their image, introduce new products, strengthen business and shareholder relationships, as well as boost employee morale. Partnering with SOMA provides a secure gateway to the Massachusetts community.
Local and regional marketers can tap into the vast sales and marketing power of Special Olympics Massachusetts at the highest level. Our top-level partnership packages are designed with one goal in mind: to exponentially raise the sales bar for our Corporate Partners.
Double or Triple Your Contribution - Employer Matching Gifts
Many companies match charitable contributions made by their employees. Ask your employer if they offer a matching gifts program (most do!) then simply obtain the form, fill out the information and send it in with your donation -- we do the rest! Often times retired employees or spouses can take advantage of this method of giving a donation. A matched gift is the easiest way to increase the impact of your gift.
Fundraising Events
Fundraising events offer a way everyone can get involved to support SOMA. Whether you are looking for a great team building exercise or an opportunity to spend time with the family, SOMA’s three signature events do just that. Come out an experience one of our three signature events
