2009 Special Olympics
World Winter Games - Idaho

 

The 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games will take place in and around Boise, Idaho, on February 6-13, 2009 at the following locations:

Alpine Skiing – Bogus Basin Ski Resort, Boise
Cross-Country Skiing – Sun Valley Resort, Sun Valley
Figure Skating – Qwest Arena, Boise
Floor Hockey – Site TBC, Idaho
Snowboarding – Tamarack Resort, Tamarack
Snowshoeing – Sun Valley Resort, Sun Valley
Speed Skating – Idaho IceWorld, Boise
Opening Ceremony – Taco Bell Arena, Boise State University, Boise
Closing Ceremony – Site TBC, Idaho

With approximately 3,000 athletes, 9,000 additional guests and media, and 6,000 volunteers representing 85 countries, this will be the largest multi-day winter sports competition in the U.S.  Special Olympics Massachusetts is pleased to announce its delegation of athletes that will represent the organization as part of Team USA:
