The Boston Marathon has always drawn an international crowd with over 90 countries represented each year. Athletes come from near and far come to partake in this prestigious race.
An experienced World Games athlete, Adams, previously competed in 2009 World Games in Idaho and the Special Olympics National Games in Iowa. But for Adams the 2017 World Games in Austria was different.
Miye Jacques has been volunteering with Special Olympics Massachusetts since 2014. She's volunteered as an event volunteer at Winter Games and Summer Games and has volunteered with local teams as an assistant swimming coach.
