The role of fundraiser is so important to the work that Special Olympics Massachusetts does across the commonwealth. It aligns perfectly with our goal of bringing inclusion to every community. As a fundraiser, you will support the organization with financial resources, that are so important to our mission of providing inclusive sports at no cost to the athletes or their families. But, and perhaps more importantly, you will be playing the role of ambassador, introducing and welcoming new people to the world of Special Olympics.
Through conversations with potential donors, you will share your Special Olympics story – why you are involved and helping bring the joy or sport to the disability community. Every year we see new donors turn into volunteers, or even fundraisers themselves. As one of the people sharing the mission of Special Olympics, you will be rewarded with top quality fundraising events and opportunities like the Polar Plunge, 5K races on some of the oldest streets in America, playing cornhole alongside the athletes you are supporting, running the Boston or TCS New York City Marathon or the Asics Falmouth Road Race.
Brrrave the cold and take the Plunge to support more than 14,000 athletes of all abilities in sports training and competitions offered year-round by Special Olympics Massachusetts. Everyone is invited to participate in the Plunge and it’s one of the most inclusive fundraisers we put on with athletes, coaches, unified partners along with friends, family, schools, colleagues, and community members all rallying to support inclusion.
