Special Olympics Massachusetts Summer Games is the largest event we run each year. Over 1500 athletes and Unified Partners and 1000 volunteers descend on the Harvard University Athletic Complex for three days of inclusion, sports and fun.
Get in the game and be a part of the marquee inclusive sports event in Massachusetts that will show the rest of the commonwealth what is possible when everyone is included.

From June 3-9, Special Olympics Massachusetts and an incredible network of partners - corporate sponsors, law enforcement, schools, volunteers, and of course athletes and their families will bring the spirit of Summer Games to communities across the state through Hall of Fame inductions, inclusive school sports, fundraisers, and of course a Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg, brining the Flame of Hope into Harvard Stadium. The week culminates in the biggest event of the year - Summer Games! Athletes will compete, families and fans will cheer, and volunteers will support competition across five sports. Come spend one, two or seven days with Special Olympics Massachusetts and Experience Inclusion.

Yes! We love when new fans stop by the competition. There is plenty of space for spectators and there is a ton to do. Whether you want to watch a volleyball match, check out the 100-yard dash, play some games at Olympic town or pick up some Special Olympics swag, you will have a great time and leave with a smile.
Summer Games is the State Tournament for athletics (track & field), powerlifting, swimming, tennis, and volleyball. You can expect high level play as athletes compete for medals and to show the world what they are capable of.
Not by a long shot! Summer Games is the state tournament for our spring sports, but we host competitions year-round across four sports seasons. In fact, we typically run over 750 competitions each year. Some are for our community teams others are interscholastic games and meets. Either way, we are averaging more than two inclusive sports competitions per day!
