A room of screaming fans, lined up to get autographs, cheering for your every (dance) move. Just another day in the life of a New England Revolution Unified team athlete.

On August 1, 2018, the New England Revolution first team joined the Revs Unified team for the fourth annual Bowl For a Goal event, sponsored by Arbella Insurance. Splitsville Luxary Lanes at Patriot Place was packed with Revs fans and Special Olympics fans as the players, Special Olympics athletes and Unified partners bowled to raise money for Special Olympics. Since the first Bowl For a Goal in 2015, the annual event has raised over $200,000 for Special Olympics Massachusetts.

Athlete Jeremy Smith has partnered with Arbella Insurance for the Champions for 50 campaign and had the honor of singing the national anthem before the night's events kicked off.In addition to bowling, the evening included a silent auction and karaoke featuring the Revs players and Unified team members.Revs Forward Teal Bunbury has been with the team for all four years of Bowl For a Goal and loves being able to have fun with his teammates, the fans and the Unified team."I think it's super important to get the community together for Special Olympics Massachusetts. You get to put smiles on a lot of people's faces, we get to come together, have some fun for a great cause," he said. "We all get to enjoy ourselves because we aren't the best bowlers. It's fun to be able to relax and put smiles on a lot of people's faces, make a lot of people have fun and enjoyment and also raise money for an awesome group of people."

Revs Midfielder Diego Fagundez enjoys being able to support the Unified athletes and spend time with them as one team."We are all bonding, we are all one team. No matter who you are. I think that's what this event bring to us, and it's a huge part that fans are coming out and having fun with us and the Special Olympics team," he said. "When they play this year we'll definitely be out there to try and help them out, and cheer them on like they cheer us on. When they see us here they're psyched, and that's how we feel. We want to cheer them as much as possible so they can do well."The Unified team will play the Philadelphia Union Unified team on August 11 at Gillette Stadium, following the Revs game.

Also in attendance at Bowl For a Goal was the gold medal winning Team Massachusetts soccer team from Milford. The team had a chance to bowl, get autographs and hang out with the Revs players.Check out the photos from the night here!
