2019 Bruins Golf Tournament

To kick off the second year of the partnership between the Boston Bruins Foundation and Special Olympics Massachusetts, six athletes attended the Foundation's annual Golf Tournament on September 9th. The athletes had the opportunity to meet Bruins players and share a little about themselves and the work of Special Olympics while traveling around the International in Bolton.

Athlete Tyler Lagasse, a regionally known golfer who recently competed in "The Cities" tournament, served as the celebrity driver at a hole where ultimately he won a signed Bruins jersey for getting the ball closest to the pin.

Liam Fitzgerald, well-known in the Bruins community as "fist-bump kid", also served a celebrity, helping the golfers with their put.

Athletes Beth Donahue, John Dunleavy, Jeff, and Noel Heath were also on hand, traveling around on golf carts, meeting the players and taking part in a selfie contest to see who could get the most. Results are still being calculated, but by the end of the day the Bruins players knew all about the contest and were happy to join in!
