Watch Special Olympics Basketball LIVE!

Emerson College will Live Stream Special Olympics Basketball on January 28th.

The Emerson College Athletic community is proud to help Special Olympics Massachusetts celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Special Olympics Movement. Emerson College is hosting a Basketball Community Games on Sunday, January 28th, 2018 in the Bobbi Brown/Steven Plofker Gymnasium. The event will tip-off at 10 AM and run until 2 PM. The round-robin tournament will consist of 5 local Special Olympics teams competing in 4 games each.

We are excited to announce teams competing are the North Attleboro Big Red Machine, Brookline Cougars, Mansfield Green Hornets, Mansfield Black Hornets and the Heated Lions Seniors.

Volunteers from Emerson College Student Athletic Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) and Emerson Channel Sports (ECS) are collaborating with Special Olympics Massachusetts to live stream the event on the ECS YouTube channel. The event will be shared by the Special Olympics Massachusetts Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Last year during the community game hosted at Emerson, the stands were packed with students, parents, and supporters who came to cheer on the athletes. Emerson College is excited to exceed the level of energy in the atmosphere compared to 2017. Emerson Athletics will be greatly represented in the stands as we would like to welcome the rest of the Emerson community to enjoy this event.

Special Olympics Massachusetts and the Emerson community are hoping to instill confidence, inspire competition and change perceptions for athletes of all levels and abilities.

Please join us at 10 AM on Sunday, January 28th live in the gym or on YouTube!
