Macey Auger embarked on the 2024 Boston Marathon with calmness, ready to advocate for inclusion during her 26.2-mile journey. However, her resolve was tested when a sudden knee injury threatened to derail her race at just 5 miles in.
Throughout Johanna’s training and fundraising for the Xtra Mile Boston Marathon team, she has felt her uncle’s presence along the way.

Peter Kline formed “Marathons With Meaning” to make running more accessible for individuals with disabilities. This year, Peter will run the Boston Marathon with Natick High School Unified Track athlete Yousef.

With both a passion for soccer and the dream of becoming a sports broadcaster, Radley Theolien went into MLS All-Star week as not only an athlete representing the New England Revolution Unified Team, but as a man-on-the-ground reporter.
So far, there are a total of 23 BPS that have committed to being a Unified Champion School, and Special Olympics MA is excited to continue growing that number.
My family loves to get involved. I cannot remember a month without some sort of volunteer event or fundraiser. My mother calls it ‘Irish Charity’, and says that it is simply in our blood to do anything we can for those around us.
